I'm Growing My Hair, Why Do I Need Regular Trims?

We all know by now that frequent hair trims do not, unlike the old wives tale, make your hair grow faster. Whether you cut it or not, your hair will grow at the same rate. What regular trims do is actually remove dry, split ends which can make hair look straggly and thinner. Untouched split ends will work their way up the hair shaft, damaging the strand beyond repair. Regular trims will stop this damage and allow you to reach your hair length goals more quickly.

Which Hair Colour Should I Choose For My First Time?

I've Used a Box Dye - Can You Fix It?

Hair colour imbalances are rectified by our master colourists on a daily basis. No-one deserves patchy hair colour, dry, damaged or dull hair, so please book in for a colour consultation so we can create a recovery plan. I Use Professional Conditioner at Home, Why Is My Hair Fried?

There can be many reasons for this, but the most common is that you're washing your conditioner out too soon. Shampoo your hair, and gently squeeze out with a towel, apply your conditioner and comb through, leaving for at least 5 minutes. You should see a difference in the condition of your hair if you follow this advice. 

What is a Toner?

Many clients do not understand why we add a toner after the bleaching process. Bleach is not a colour, it is a tool we use to remove colour, or pigment, from your hair. The final colour you have comes from the toning process and can be used to cool or warm your hair colour. 

What is Balayage?

Balayage is the term used for the most popular hair trend over the last decade. Your Anthony James hair colour expert will paint the hair colour directly onto your hair in a freehand movement, picking out the strands which would naturally be highlighted by the sun, giving you a beautifully bespoke sun-kissed look.
